About

I created this site as a way to share some of my mother’s recipes and some of my own creations.  Cooking is one of my favorite things to do, and I love cooking for my husband and two children most of all.

I guess I’m a simple Arkansas country girl, preferring to spend time at home with my family more than just about anything.  In addition to being a wife and mother, I’m also privileged to teach at the same small school that I graduated from 20years ago.  I have a very busy school schedule, but I love my job.  I teach English, speech, drama and journalism to high school students, and (most of the time) I find it very rewarding.  My favorite part of the job revolves around my position as journalism adviser.  My staff produces the yearbook and newspaper for the school, and it’s been a real thrill to watch our program grow the last few years.

In addition to cooking, my hobbies include photography, geocaching, graphic design, playing games, writing and occasionally knitting very simple projects.  I have a great husband and two wonderful sons, and we hope to add to our family through adoption very soon.

I hope you enjoy the site, and feel free to drop me a line with your comments and/or suggestions.
